The other day I bought a really high quality three megapixel digital camera for $50 from a friend. It even included a few compact flash cards. Unbelievable. The same camera that sold for $1,500 a few years ago! Amazing, the plummeting price of electronics. The speed at which technology turns-over is astounding. Samsung has just announced a pair of new digital cameras theyâ (TM)ll be releasing later this year: the Digimax L55W and L50.  The 5 megapixel L55W has a 2.8-inch LCD, the biggest Samsung has ever put on one of their compact cameras. It also packs a 4.8x optical zoom with wide-angle capabilities (hence the added W) and has a 2cm macro function and MPEG 4 movie mode.
